Yes, yes...it's been a while. There has not been a lot to say.
Mom is off her anti-nausea meds - they were making her feel ill LOL!
She is tired, a lot. It seems to be a bone-weary tiredness. We wondered if it might have been anemia, a potential side effect of the chemo, but her 'source' says no. That her blood work is fine. So....why is she so tired?
Still, she and Al had Brooke out for a few hours on the weekend and it seemed to be a good time for everyone. They have always been so close....it's been hard for Brooke in particular but she is a strong child with an innate sense of understanding. I think it helped to 'ground' her, spending that time with Nana and Poppi.
We got a brief update on Aunt Pat. It seems the cancer is not only in her lungs but has also involved her heart. She will begin chemo treatments in Belleville in a couple of weeks. Beyond that, we don't know a lot. I have to call Angie soon....my e-mail doesn't seem to be working properly so I haven't gotten any responses from her that way. I will update what I hear.

In August of this year, my Mom, Barb (aka "The Aunt with the Class") was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. We have been overwhelmed with calls, letters and e-mails and wanted a way to let everyone know how Mom is, day by day. So, I created this blog. Our unending "Thanks and Love" to those who have been walking with us, sometimes beside us and holding us up, sometimes behind us, but always with us. It may take a village to raise a child, but it also takes one to make a true family. May God Bless each of you.
