Which is simple to say when it isn't your hair.
Mom got her wig today (though hers looks longer...figure that one?). It looks natural, in my opinion. Not naturally *hers* but natural...know what I mean?? I will have to leave it up to you. She is not happy - though I keep reminding her that every one of us has gone thru the 'I hate this hair!!!' moment (often more than once) but at least SHE can take her 'Bad Hair Day' off. Not sure it is helping.
In all honesty, it was more traumatic for me than her to see the hairdresser (and many Kudos to Kelly Renshaw and Trudy Dixie at EnviroTrends) shaving Mom's head. I cried. She didn't. But man, she looked so hang-dog :-(.
It's a step. It's a short time. It's only hair, right?

Very glad that you were able to get a wig...and it really does look like a nice one!
Keeping you in my thoughts daily, I really respect and admire your courage. Steph
Helen found that one of the hardest parts was getting, and wearing, the wig. When i was at CNIB one of the ladies was battling breast cancer and her best friend shaved her head when she lost hers....imagine the courage and empathy...
You write very well.
