And....

she's home.

Whew.

I guess the ride up was rather difficult...really, it was painful. Mom chinzted on her morphine, afraid it would make her nauseated (Yo! And what, pray tell, are the anti-nausea meds for!?!) and suffered the fall-out. They made it to the hotel and she crashed for hours. While I am sorry to hear it was such a rotten ride there, I am secretly hoping she got some extra, needed rest before going in for her chemo today.

I do need to say....Al is working his way to Heaven, whether he knows it or not. The man stayed up to make sure Mom had her 11 pm meds and then set his alarm, got up, had her meds and a glass of cold water waiting before he woke Mom at 4 am for her second round of medication. Though the hotel was good enough to let him have an extra two hours on the room, he only stayed a short time after taking Mom to the hospital and he put in more than 5 hours in Kingston on his own. Between you and me....*I* think he sorta likes her.

So Mom is home, tired, raspy-voiced but cracking jokes. I guess she missed out on a Big "O" but that is something I will let her tell you about :-P.
